Service Beyond Scouting
Service to others has always been an important part of my life, extending beyond my involvement in Scouting. Through professional mentorship, school volunteering, and community service, I have sought opportunities to share my experience, support young people, and help families in need.
Engineering Mentorship
Pump Studios — Engineering Intern Mentor
2014–2026
Over approximately 12 years, I have mentored four to five high school and college interns through my professional work, providing hands-on experience with engineering projects, technical guidance, and exposure to professional engineering practices.
Through these opportunities, I have helped students develop practical skills, gain confidence in their abilities, and better understand potential careers in engineering.
School Safety
Riojas Elementary School — Volunteer Crossing Guard
2021 | Pflugerville, Texas
Served as a volunteer crossing guard at Riojas Elementary School, helping provide a safer environment for students and families during school arrival and dismissal.
This experience provided an opportunity to contribute directly to the safety and well-being of children in my local community.
Supporting Families and Food Security
Backpack Friends — Fundraising Event Volunteer
Volunteered at fundraising events benefiting Backpack Friends, assisting with event stations and traffic direction to support safe and organized operations.
These activities helped support the organization's efforts to provide food assistance to children experiencing food insecurity.
Central Texas Food Bank — Volunteer

Participated in a volunteer service activity sorting food at the Central Texas Food Bank, supporting the organization's efforts to provide food assistance to individuals and families throughout Central Texas.
Pump Studios — Christmas Family Sponsorship

Joined coworkers at Pump Studios in sponsoring a local family during the Christmas season.
Our team contributed funds to purchase gifts for the family, helping provide holiday support through a shared effort of generosity and community service.
Professional Background
Senior Mechanical Engineer — Pump Studios
My professional career in mechanical engineering has provided opportunities to solve complex technical challenges, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor developing engineers.
I believe the principles that contribute to successful engineering—problem-solving, teamwork, responsibility, and continuous learning—also strengthen my approach to leadership and community service.
A Commitment to Service
Whether through mentoring students, supporting school safety, volunteering with community organizations, or participating in charitable activities, I believe meaningful service comes from recognizing opportunities to help and taking action.
These experiences reflect my ongoing commitment to contributing to my community and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
